What is ADHD coaching?
An ADHD coach is a “life coach” specifically trained to help those impacted by attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) better manage their lives.
Together the ADHD coach partners with the client to help facilitate awareness and create strategies to overcome the challenges that they, or someone important to them, are facing.

Our coaching partnership begins with an intake session where I get a chance to get to know you and/or your family!
We identify your goals for coaching, your strengths, and the current challenges you and/or your family are facing.
Through thought provoking questions, the coach helps you identify your ideal vision for the future.
We then work together to design specific strategies that will work with you/your family members unique brain-wiring, while also aligning with your values and current goals.
After the initial planning session, we will meet weekly (or bi-weekly) in person, via Zoom, or over the phone for coaching sessions.
In each session, we will celebrate your wins over the past week, discuss how previously created strategies are working, any struggles you are still facing and identify and explore the agenda topic that YOU bring to the session.
It has been said that much of coaching takes place between sessions. It is the thoughts you have, and the work you do between these sessions that will provide the greatest forward movement in reaching your goals. If you are interested, I will send you accountability texts or emails to check in with you during the week.
Together we will partner to create the life you and your family have always imagined!

While each individual and family are different, and there is not a one size fits all approach, change does not happen overnight. To get the most out of coaching, I recommend that clients plan to work with a coach for at least three to six months.
Some may then find a benefit in regularly continuing with a coach and some may choose to check back in periodically. Ultimately you will determine what works best for you!

No, an ADHD diagnosis is not required to work with me! I am happy and excited to work with any individual or family that would like support in making changes to create the life they have always imagined!
-
While therapists focus on past experiences and help patients cope with depression, anxiety and other negative emotion, life coaching is future focused.
Through thought-provoking questions, witnessing, and skilled reflective listening, that allows opportunity for reflection, a coach helps you develop a better understanding of yourself/your family and where you want to be in life.
The coach partners with the client to identify both strengths and barriers, and develops practical strategies to help you/your family in reaching their goals.
